Gastonia Police Memorial Park

The Gastonia Police Department Memorial was erected on September 11, 2011. The cost of the memorial was $135,000. With the help of private donations, community support, grant funding, and brick sales, the Gastonia Police Foundation was able to provide the funds to the Gastonia Police Department to make their dream of a Police Memorial Park a reality. The park was designed by City of Gastonia Engineering staff. From the air, the Police Memorial Park can be seen in the image of the Gastonia Police Department badge. The Memorial Park is located on the corner of Long Avenue and Oakland Street in Gastonia, NC.

In 2019 the Gastonia Police Foundation provided $5,000 in funding to upgrade the lighting around the memorial. The project was completed in October 2019.
